Buried brass, Fenland bog oak and drilled, painted plywood
Dimensions: 30 x 12 x 3 cm approx

Sheds by their very nature contain and store a lot of stuff. The sheds that I know and love are vast cavernous spaces housing very large agricultural machinery but also tiny components and everything in-between. They are usually quite untidy but in an attempt at order some things are hung up. The sheds series takes its inspiration from these objects, from rope and chains to tools and keys, they all have earned a place of importance within the chaos.
I have buried the metalwork in Fenland soil to patinate it. Only recent acquisitions are shiny or at least until the dust settles. The bog oak used is originally from the Fens and dates from 3300BC
